Celebrate Thanksgiving Week with Nittany Lion Basketball at the Palestra

While we Penn Staters are celebrating another successful football season and enjoying our turkey, we also can show our Penn State pride to the Phily hoopsters. Ed DeChellis' improving Nittany Lion Men's Basketball squad, led by senior forward Jamelle Cornley and super sophomore guard Talor Battle, will be at the storied Palestra for three games during Thanksgiving Week. 

U of Florida Alumni Plan "Drinking with the Enemy" in Philadelphia August 28

The Philadelphia Gator Club, the local branch of the University of Florida’s Alumni Association, is planning an event on Thursday, August 28.

Chapter Bus Trip to Michigan State Nov. 22

The Delaware County Chapter will have a bus trip to the Michigan State game on November 22, 2008.  Game tickets will be included in the package as will a box lunch.  The cost of the trip will be $110.  A limited number of bus-only seats will be available.

The game time has not been announced.  The bus will depart approximately 7 hours prior to kickoff from the Brandywine Campus.  Join your fellow Penn State fans for a great day full of fun and no driving required! 

Chester County Chapter Runs Bus Trips to All Big Ten Home Games and Syracuse

 The Chester County Chapter has bus trips planned for all BIG TEN HOME GAMES as well as the away game at Syracuse.  All buses leave from the Penn State Great Valley Campus in Malvern. 

Penn State Brandywine to Install Earthquake Monitor

A member of Penn State University’s department of geosciences at University Park will install an earthquake monitoring station on the Penn State Brandywine campus in the next few weeks. The station will be part of a new seismic network being established for the state of Pennsylvania and will be connected to the national network. 

Tailgates Resume September 6 for 2008 Football Season

Join your fellow Penn Staters to cheer for the Nittany Lions at a local restaurant. Maggie O'Neill's in Drexel Hill will be the location of the tailgates for Oregon State on September 6 and Purdue on October 4.

Other tailgates will be held jointly with the Delaware State Alumni Chapter at McKenzie’s on Rt. 202 in Chadds Ford.

PSU Men's Lacrosse Team to Play in Local Tournament

The local chapters of the PSAA invite you cheer on the Men’s Lacrosse team as they compete in the 2nd Annual Nick Colleleuri Classic on October 11th.  Penn State will be one of 14 teams in attendance for this year’s tournament operated by the Headstrong Foundation which raises funds to fight blood cancer. 

"Penn State Football Eve" Set For August 29

UNIVERSITY PARK, PA. - Penn State will kick off the 2008 campaign with "Penn State Football Eve" on Friday, August 29. The fifth year event starts the new season with a festival-like atmosphere surrounding Beaver Stadium followed by a celebration inside the stadium with the team and Coach Joe Paterno.
