IMPORTANT UPDATES

PALESTRA GAME TIME IS GETTING CLOSER.  But there are still seats available for Penn State fans to cheer on the Nittany Lions at the Palestra. You can still order tickets on our front page or at our Store.  Plus, Penn State fans can join, before and after the game to talk hoops and celebrate our victories 

Game times are as follows:

Tuesday,  November 25th vs. Penn at 7;30 p.m.  –  We will have a strong legion of Penn State Fans, and also the Alumni Pep Band and Penn State Cheerleaders and the Nittany Lion.  This is a Men’s-Women’s doubleheader.  The first game is the Penn women vs. St. Joseph's women at 5:30 p.m.

Friday, November 28th – The semifinals of the Independence Division of the Philly Hoop Group Classic. Penn State plays Rhode Island at 6:30 p.m.  The nightcap is Villanova vs. Towson at 8:30 p.m.

Saturday , November 29th – The finals of the Independence Division of the Philly Hoop Group Classic. Consolation game is at 6;30 p.m.  Championship game is at 8:30 p.m.

The Penn State Cheerleaders and Nittany Lion will be performing at both Philly Hoop Group Classic games. Thanks to the Penn State Abington Cheerleading squad for being the week's Penn State Cheerleaders.

BUT WAIT… IT ISN’T OVER WHEN THE GAME IS OVER – POST GAME GET TOGETHERS

We have arranged post game get togethers where areas will be set aside for Penn State fans to talk hoops and celebrate victory.  These post games are food and drink on your own.

November 25th post game will be at Slainte Pub and Grill at 3000 Market Street.  We will gather immediately after the game

November 28th we will hang out at the very popular New Deck Tavern at 3408 Samsom Street.  This is a very popular hangout for Palestra basketball fans.  Penn State fans can come out anytime after 9:00 p.m.  Let’s beat the Nova fans to the New Deck.

AND – TO CAP IT OFF – SATURDAY PRE GAME SOCIAL AND PEP RALLY – LET’S CHEER FOR THE CHAMPONSHIP

On Saturday, November 29th, we will have a pre game social and pep rally, and we will be joined by the Nittany Lion Hoops Club.  http://www.nittanylionhoopsclub.com/

The Alumni Association will providing free appetizers on a first come first serve basis as long as they last, and you can also order your own food and drink. .  Pep Rally time will be 4:30 p.m. if we are in the championship game.  If our Friday fortunes are not so good, and we end up in the consolation game, the pep rally will be at 3:00 p.m.
